Design the Future You’s Mission is to help High School Students discover who God created them to be so that they can walk into adulthood with confidence and purpose.
High school is an exciting and meaningful season of life, filled with highs and lows, new experiences, high expectations, and moments that become lasting memories. Yet, alongside the excitement is an increasing sense of uncertainty about what comes next.
As students transition from childhood toward adulthood, they face more choices and possibilities than ever before. Those who know Jesus, are reassured that God has a good plan and purpose for their lives, but isn’t always clear what those plans are.
Many students find themselves feeling stuck, uncertain, or anxious about the future because they simply don’t know how to discern God’s Will for their lives when it comes time to make important decisions.
Common Questions High School Students Wrestle With:
Where to go to College?
What Career Path to follow?
What job to accept?
Who to date or marry?
Why am I here?
God is not a God of disorder, chaos or confusion.
He is a God of peace. (1 Corinthians 14:33)
God’s Will
The Bible doesn’t specifically say which college to go to, which job to take or who to date. But His Word DOES tells us everything we need to know to be able to make decisions for the future that honors His Will.
But seek first His Kingdom and His Righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
Matthew 6:33
Each Person is Uniquely Created by God
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Ephesians 2:10
God’s Design
God intentionally knit us together in our Mother’s Womb. He gave each person personality, strengths, weaknesses and for the believer, Spiritual Gifts.
Godly Motivations
God gives zeal, passion and motivation for specific things that moves your heart and His. These things are often tied to Purpose and Calling.
God’s Preparation
God is at work in our lives, preparing and equiping us for the good works we are to do through relationships, experiences, education and opportunities.
How I Help as a Christian Coach
Discover Your Strengths
One of the best ways to honor how God uniquely created us is to Discover what our inherent Strengths are.
The CliftonStrengths Student Assessment is a great tool to help High School Students do just that.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in it’s various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
